Clear Charge is a POS software that is installed on a computer to be able to use it as a payment terminal. Clear Charge is capable of processing credit, debit, checks, electronic benefit transfers, gift cards and loyalty cards.
Recent enhancements include multi-merchant capabilities which means Clear Charge is able to process up to 9 different merchant accounts on one system, which is convenient for businesses such as salons. Clear Charge is also an inexpensive wireless solution for merchants with a laptop and an aircard.
An important feature of Clear Charge is that it is PCI and PED compliant. Clear Charge utilizes host data capture, meaning it does not store cardholder data on the machine. Also, with a Check Imager, the latest version of Clear Charge is Check 21 capable.
Future enhancements include internal reporting features providing daily, weekly and monthly reports for each separate payment category.
